About Us
Founded in 1994 by a small group of families, PCR today serves hundreds of individuals with developmental differences, their families, and involved professionals. Our programs take place at various locations throughout Montgomery County, and we serve individuals from across the Washington, DC area.
PCR is the proud recipient of the Maryland Respite Care Coalition Outstanding Respite Provider Award for 2004. In 2005 we were thrilled to receive the Community Service Award from The Arc of Montgomery County. In 2006 PCR was selected for the "Catalogue for Philanthropy," a publication of the Harmon Family Foundation, highlighting a select group of the area's best nonprofits.
